Petrol:
C5 X is equipped with high-performance, efficient petrol engines meeting in the stringent Euro 6.3 standard, with the choice of PureTech 130 Stop & Start or PureTech 180 Stop & Start engines. For even greater seamless ease of use and peace of mind behind the wheel, C5 X features an EAT8 automatic gearbox.

A second gloss black spoiler provides downforce and braking stability.

The driving position of C5 X is elevated by its higher ground clearance compared with a traditional hatchback and large diameter wheels (720mm). This higher driver position ensures greater safety and visibility.

Citroën Advanced Comfort® Active Suspension: A world premier

A Citroën exclusive designed to recreate the flying-carpet effect of iconic Citroëns, to overcome obstacles, potholes, speed bumps and other road features, the Citroën Advanced Comfort® suspension naturally equips C5 X.

The plug-in hybrid version of the C5 X further improves comfort by offering, as a world first, the Citroën Advanced Comfort® Active Suspension, combining Progressive Hydraulic Cushions® with active suspension control. The vehicle adapts the suspension of each wheel to be softer or firmer depending on the conditions encountered.

Sensors analysing the road and its irregularities transmit information to a computer which continuously determines the correct configuration to ensure maximum comfort for all occupants.

As well as ESP sensors, the controlled suspension has vertical position and wheel-speed sensors to analyse vehicle body movements and driving rhythm.

Handling of the suspension provides both complete comfort when flying over the road on straight sections and precise handling on bends.
